People & changes: Mona Beedle wins driver award from Pilot Flying J – The Ledger


Beedle takes third in Pilot Flying J contest

Mona Beedle of Auburndale has been named the third-place winner of the Pilot Flying J Road Warrior contest, winning $2,500. Beedle, a professional driver since 1989, has driven for RayLee Transport for more than 30 years. She is a strong advocate for female drivers across the country. She writes a monthly column, “Glamour to Grease,” for the trucking blog “18wheelsandheels” and is a member of Women in Trucking, a non-profit organization that encourages and promotes the employment of women in the industry. Beedle also founded the Trucking Angels for Christ ministry and sets up at various trucking expos, offering free materials such as Bibles and CDs for pro drivers who are interested.
